Digital Tools and the Development of the Competencies of the English Area - 128-hour course

After our successful 2019 blended course "Upgrading my Teaching Skills", and our second on-line course "Better Teaching, Better Learning" in 2020, Camelot Language Center is proud to present its new 2021 Teacher Training On-line Course "Digital Tools and the Development of the Competencies of the English Area"". Our two main goals with this new and updated course are:
1. To deliver a specialized course exclusively for English Teachers in Peru, that has a positive impact on their professional development.
2. To offer a quality, yet affordable course that can reach both public and private English Teachers, whether they live in Lima or in other Regions of Peru.
About this Course:
128-hour course especially designed for English Teachers
General Objetive:
Strengthen the methodological competencies of secondary school teachers in relation to the National Curriculum, development of competencies in the English area, and digital tools in the context of remote teaching.
Specific Objetives:

Analyze the key elements of the National Curriculum for planning.

Analyze the competencies, capabilities, and performances of the area of English as a foreign language.

Specify the performances of each competency in relation to the levels of English at the secondary level of Regular Basic Education.

Model sessions to develop English skills through digital platforms and tools that respond to learning needs in remote teaching.
General Content of the Course
This course consists of 4 modules to be developed throughout the 8 weeks duration of this Teacher Training program. After you complete the course, you will receive a 128-hour certificate with the following heading: ‘Actualización en Metodologías de la Enseñanza – Aprendizaje del idioma inglés de manera remota a través del curso DIGITAL TOOLS AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COMPETENCIES OF THE ENGLISH AREA – Summer 2021."
For the development of this course we will use the following Digital Tools: Padlet, Linoit, Jamboard, Canvas, Book Creator, Calaméo, Cmap Tools, Mentimeter, among others.
Requirements, schedules & cost
To participate in this course:

You must have a level of English of at least B1 or Intermediate.

You must work or have experience as an English teacher in public or private Education Institutions.

You must have at least basic knowledge of virtual learning environments or management of social networks.

You must have a digital device that allows you to be part of the Zoom Sessions.
